Why Do We Meet On Saturdays?

Cornerstone Community Church of Lemon Grove is a member of Grace Communion International.

Grace Communion International is a Christian denomination worshiping in 860 congregations in about 90 nations. It began in Oregon in 1933 and is now headquartered in Southern California. GCI is members of the National Association of Evangelicals. To access free on-line articles and videos on Bible teaching and Christian living, go to www.gci.org.

Why does Cornerstone meet at 11:00am Saturday mornings?

We were renting space from a church on Sunday mornings but in Jan. 2012 we needed to move so we began renting from another church and meeting in their facility on Saturday mornings (since they use their facility on Sundays, of course.)  We understand that most Christians meet on Sundays to honor and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but we also believe that Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath which frees us to meet on any day of the week.
